The Institute for Social Studies in Population, IDESPO-UNA, specializes in conducting studies on the national reality, contributing to decision-making, both public and private, for the benefit of Costa Rican society.

International Center for Economic Policy for Sustainable Development

This center participates actively and in collaboration with universities in Latin America, the Caribbean, the United States and Europe, promoting joint research and teaching, the exchange of experiences and knowledge and academic and student mobility. Likewise, its research has a clear impact on public policy at the sectoral and territorial level, especially in regions outside the metropolitan area.
