The UNA fulfills its mission through teaching, research, social outreach and intellectual production. These actions are derived from an innovative, relevant and timely endeavor that seeks dialogue between different disciplines, with a forward-looking vision. In this way, it develops a model that stimulates the link between the various social actors for the development of the country's communities, territories and regions.
The UNA promotes academic and intellectual production through processes of knowledge generation that are relevant, systematic, and innovative to the university's work, complemented by the participation of disciplinary and multidisciplinary teams and the construction of interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity. From the Open Science approach, it promotes strategies to guarantee access to information and vindicate people's right to knowledge.
